Tolman got a two episode guest role as romance writer Abby Berman on The Mindy Program the same year. In 2015, her second role was in Michael Dougherty's film horror comedy Krampus. Tolman turned down a variety of supporting parts, including the ones that were played by wives, mothers and besties, after her first appearance in Fargo. Tolman wanted a distinct job. Tolman was cast in ABC's Downward Dog based off the Animal Media Group webseries. The series ended in the middle of a year. Tolman was a part of ABC's Emergence drama which premiered on the 24th of September, 2019, however it was pulled by ABC following one year of airing at the 21st of May in 2020 even though Tolman tweeting that the ratings were "pretty good".
